Regulations

• All athletes competing in Baby, Juvenile, Junior and Youth categories must have with them any official document that proves their age.
• Age-limit flexibility for groups:

For groups up to 7 dancers, 1 dancer may exceed the age limit of the category.

For groups from 8 to 13 dancers, 2 dancers may exceed the age limit.

For groups from 14 to 20 dancers, 4 dancers may exceed the age limit.

For groups from 21 to 28 dancers, 5 dancers may exceed the age limit.

For groups over 28 dancers, 6 dancers may exceed the age limit.

• Older dancers may only be one age category above the category in which they compete. For example, in a Juvenile I group of 6 dancers, one dancer may belong age-wise to Juvenile II, but not to Junior I.
• Debut groups are considered groups in which 80% of the members are competing in dance competitions for the first time within the year of the event.
• The competition will be announced in Greek and English.
• Athletes enter the competition area from the right side of the venue and exit from the left side, as seen from the spectator stands.
• Groups have 30 seconds to enter and set up any scenery or props, and 30 seconds to clear the floor and exit.
• Dancers performing in heels must wear special silicone heel protectors.
• Athletes must collect their competition numbers at least one hour before the scheduled time of their category.
• Any rule violation objection must be submitted to the chairman of judges no later than 5 minutes after the end of the category.
• After the 5-minute period, no objection will be accepted.
• The judges’ decision is final.
• The participation fee does not cover transportation, accommodation or insurance expenses.
• For group categories, there is a 15-second tolerance in music duration. After the 15-second tolerance, the music may be stopped.

1. Dancers in Solo categories may also compete in the next higher age category.
2. In Debut Solo Latin, athletes may compete every year in the Debut category unless they place in the top 3. In that case, they must move to a higher category the following year.
3. Music for Solo Latin categories is provided by the organizer.
4. Make-up is not allowed in the Baby category.
5. Scenery is not allowed.
6. Accessories are not allowed.

General rule for All Ladies

If a team is registered in Show, it cannot compete in Strictly. If a team is registered in Strictly, it cannot compete in Show.

All Ladies Strictly Debut

• Music for All Ladies Latin Debut categories is provided by the competitors and must have a Latin character.
• Make-up is not allowed in the Baby category.
• Music duration: From 2:00 to 3:00 minutes.
• The presentation must not be thematic and must not be clearly expressed through choreography, costume or music.
• Scenery is not allowed.
• Accessories are not allowed.
• Acrobatic movements are allowed.
• Lifts are allowed up to 3 seconds.
• 80% of the team must be competing in dance competitions for the first year.

All Ladies Strictly

• Music for All Ladies Latin categories is provided by the competitors and must have a Latin character.
• Make-up is not allowed in the Baby category.
• Music duration: From 2:00 to 3:00 minutes.
• The presentation must not be thematic and must not be clearly expressed through choreography, costume or music.
• Scenery is not allowed.
• Accessories are not allowed.
• Acrobatic movements are allowed.
• Lifts are allowed up to 3 seconds.

All Ladies Latin Show Debut

• Music for All Ladies Latin Show categories is provided by the competitors.
• Make-up is not allowed in the Baby category.
• Music duration: From 2:00 to 3:00 minutes.
• The presentation must be thematic and must be expressed through choreography, costume and music.
• Scenery is allowed.
• Accessories are allowed.
• Acrobatic movements are allowed.
• Lifts are allowed, except in Baby and Juvenile categories.

All Ladies Latin Show

• Music for All Ladies Latin Show categories is provided by the competitors.
• Make-up is not allowed in the Baby category.
• Music duration: From 2:00 to 3:00 minutes.
• The presentation must be thematic and must be expressed through choreography, costume and music.
• Scenery is allowed.
• Accessories are allowed.
• Acrobatic movements are allowed.
• Lifts are allowed, except in the Baby category.

• Music for Tango Pista / Salon is provided by the organizer.
• All couples will dance together to 3 different songs.
• Music duration: Approximately 1:30 minutes for each song.
• Lifts are not allowed.
• Movements must be danced circularly along the line of dance, with forward steps in embrace. One or two backward steps are allowed if necessary.

One Dance Tango Stage / Escenario

• Music for Tango Stage / Escenario is provided by the competitors.
• Couples dance separately, one couple at a time.
• Music duration: Up to 2:30 minutes.
• Lifts are allowed.

• In this category, choreographies must include movement vocabulary from contemporary dance techniques such as Release, Limon, Graham, Horton and others.
• For the purpose of the competition, the judging panel will strictly recognize as Contemporary Dance only choreographies that are not based mainly on acrobatics and clearly include contemporary dance techniques.
• Competitors are expected to present choreographies that include basic elements of contemporary dance such as jumps, swings, falls, turns, flow, floorwork, control of gravity and level changes.
• Choreographies that include rhythmic gymnastics techniques or techniques from an acrobatic dance style must be entered in the Modern Dance category.
• Music for Solo Contemporary categories is provided by the organizer.
• Dancers perform in heat.
• Music duration: Up to 1:30 minutes in all rounds.
• Acrobatics are allowed.
• Scenery is allowed.
• Accessories are allowed.

IMPORTANT

All athlete will be compete in Heat and the first 10 who will qualify will dance in semifinal and 6 to the Final with his own song.

Modern Dance

The category is divided into two subcategories:

A. Modern

In this category, competitors may combine techniques such as jazz, modern, hip hop, commercial, experimental techniques and others in their choreography.

B. Acro-Modern

This category includes artistic acrobatics between dancers, individual rhythmic elements and individual acrobatic elements. Choreographies must be based on dance, with the acrobatic element acting as a complement.

The judging panel will evaluate each dance category based on internationally recognized techniques demonstrated by the dancer.

Classical Ballet – Variation

In this category, competitors must choose one variation from the classical ballet repertoire. Please carefully review the proposed list of variations.

If you wish to compete with a variation that is not included in the list, please include the necessary information in the registration form.

Junior, Senior and Adult age categories are allowed to compete without pointe shoes, but a score reduction may apply.

The variation prepared for the competition should follow the original version as closely as possible and should not include major alterations.

Ballet Ensemble: In this category, at least 3 dancers may compete.

Junior, Senior and Adult Divisions / Ages 11 and up

• La Bayadere: Pas de Deux and all Variations.
• Coppelia: Pas de Deux and all Variations.
• Don Quixote: Pas de Deux and all Variations.
• Giselle: Giselle Variation, Act I Peasant Pas de Deux and Variations, and Pas de Deux Variations from Act II.
• Le Corsaire: Pas d'Esclave and Variations, Odalisque Variations, Jardin Anime, Act III Pas de Deux and Variations.
• The Sleeping Beauty: Variations of Fairies, Blue Bird Pas de Deux and Variations, Wedding Pas de Deux and Variations.
• Swan Lake: Pas de Trois and Variations, Odette's Variation, Act II Black Swan Pas de Deux and Variations.

• Music for Group Oriental categories is provided by the competitors.
• Groups perform separately, one group at a time.
• Music duration: From 2:00 to 3:00 minutes.
• Acrobatics are allowed.

• Scenery is allowed.
• Accessories are allowed.

Folklore

In Folklore categories, the following dances are accepted:

Fusion

In Fusion categories, the following dances are accepted:

• Music for Solo Hip Hop categories is provided by the organizer.
• Dancers compete in heats.
• Acrobatics are allowed.
• Scenery is not allowed.
• Accessories are not allowed.

Duo Hip Hop

• Music for Duo Hip Hop categories is provided by the competitors.
• Duos perform separately, one duo at a time.
• Music duration: From 1:30 to 2:00 minutes.
• Acrobatics are allowed.
• Lifts are allowed, except in the Juvenile category.
• Scenery is not allowed.
• Accessories are not allowed.

Hip Hop Group

• Music for Group Hip Hop categories is provided by the competitors.
• Groups perform separately, one group at a time.
• Music duration: From 2:00 to 3:00 minutes.
• Acrobatics are allowed.
• Lifts are allowed, except in the Juvenile category.
• Scenery is not allowed.
• Accessories are not allowed.

• In the Zeibekiko Show Category, the music must consist of at least 70% Zeibekiko.
• In the Hasapiko Show Category, the music must consist of at least 70% Hasapiko.
